"A spirited writer capturing the essence of mankind and gracefully providing stories that capture your imagination for a great read." - P.J. Dubin | Black Authors Guild Press

Slipping on Concrete

Follow the journey of three friends who grow up in South Bronx, New York and learn life lessons through hilarious situations and sorrowful ones. Travel with them as they make decisions which shape them into the kinds of women who remind you of someone you know or someone you used to be.

Sage

No one ever taught me how to be a friend. I had friends: Isa, Kim, Jewel, and Billie. However, I didn’t know how to be a friend or what to expect from one. I was just going through the motions. If it was easier to go along with the crowd then that’s what I did. I wasn’t different from anybody else in the world, but sometimes I wish I was. It takes courage to be your own person and at twelve, I didn’t have one cup.

In Between the Cracks: Short Stories

In Between the Cracks: Short Stories

Tells tales about:

  • Cracks: A father who puts his daughter out of the house because she’s engaged to the wrong man.
  • Cracks: A woman who misses her husband so much she alienates everyone around her.
  • Cracks: A few men who reflect about the choices they’ve made in life.
  • Cracks: A woman who has a strong dislike for her daughter.

These short stories catch the characters in medias res, in the middle of the story. Each story is a snapshot of the lives of the characters. We all have those moments in our lives where we feel the experience is unbelievable or where we wish we were a fly on the wall when…I hope these stories make you feel.
